Vision and Mission Statement of PAD


To be the model agency in touch with and responsive to the human resource needs of the Public Service of Barbados.


a. to create a culture of professionalism, equality and transparency

b. to provide an environment conducive to continuous learning, growth and development

c. to provide an adequate level of suitably qualified staff to meet the requirements of the public service

d. to continually review and upgrade policies , processes and procedures in the public service

e. to provide the environment for effective communication in the public service

f. to promote model Human Resource Development and Management practices and organizational change towards      

   continuous improvement of the public service. 

g. to provide meaningful work, a sense of participation and involvement and a harmonious working environment.
